A 3D camcorder had to arrive some day but no one knew it would come from the pocket camcorder maker DXG. Due to arrive later this year in June, the 3D camcorder won’t be shooting HD but only VGA standard def 3D video, this is reflected by its pricetag.
You also get a 7-inch digital video viewer. The 3D in both the camcorder’s 3-inch 3D LCD viewfinder LCD and the frame look almost holographic. For what it is, footage actually looked pretty cool. The video is in Motion JPEG, a pretty standard file format, but you likely won’t be able to view the 3D footage on anything other than the DXG panel.
For $400, you’ll be able to get your hands on this new 3D camcorder in June. While it doesn’t look like the fanciest gadget you’ll ever see, it will do its job!
